Our Schools - Our Future: a community conversation

Parents, teachers, administrators and legislators gathered at the Chase County Elementary school for a community conversation hosted by Imagine Chase County.
Attendees heard presentations from Tom Krebs representing the Kansas School Board Association and District Superintendent Greg Markowitz.
After the update on current school funding issues participants broke out into smaller groups to discuss four questions: What does our school district mean to the community? What programs and services offered in the areas of intellectiual, educational, vocational and scientific improvements do you believe to be most important? What resources or programs can be added in our schools to promote intellectual, educational, vocational and scientific improvements? and How can our community help to enhance our school programs and provide increased opportunities for our students.
The responses were recorded and provided to the school district and policy makers in Topeka. We will also post a summary of the results here shortly.
